Ben started his career at Gatwick, joining straight from university and has since accumulated over 10 years of forecasting experience with BAA and Heathrow Airport. He has worked in a number of different forecast roles and produced forecasts for a range of UK airports. Ben has created forecast models for short, medium and long-term time horizons, and has worked through a host of uncertain situations including the opening of Heathrow terminals 2 and 5, the 2012 London Olympics and the Q6 regulatory settlement. Ben now heads up the forecasting team at Heathrow where the team try to make the future a bit clearer through the production of accurate and enriched forecasts for operational, financial, regulatory and capacity planning. The latest challenge faced by Ben and his team is the creation of forecasts for expansion which presents another new and uncertain situation for the airport.
