Warren is the Chief Economist of the Australian Airports Association. In addition to over 20 years’ experience in the aviation sector, he has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors including serving as a Commissioner on the Australian Productivity Commission, the Australian Competitive Neutrality Complaints Commissioner, Deputy Chair of Airservices Australia and Group General Manager Strategy and Corporate Affairs for Infratil Airports Europe. He was Head of Strategy at Melbourne Airport when the Australian Government removed price controls and implemented its light handed monitoring regime in 2002. Warren is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of New South Wales School of Aviation, and a director on a number of infrastructure-related, superannuation and for-purpose boards. Warren holds a PhD in economics from Kings College Cambridge and is a Fellow at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
