Biography

Brian Pearce is Chief Economist at the International Air Transport Association, where he leads a team providing economic analysis on the major public policy and industry issues facing airlines worldwide. He is also visiting professor at Cranfield University’s Department of Air Transport, and was a member of the UK DfT and UK Airports Commission’s expert panel and an expert adviser to ICAO on the design of market based measures. Before joining IATA in 2004 he worked at the sustainability think-tank Forum for the Future, and has been Chief Economist at Ernst & Young’s ITEM Club and Head of Global Economic Research at SBC Warburg Dillon Read, in London and in Tokyo.
