Biography

Following years advising on airport acquisitions, Waleed joined the International Finance Corporation (the World Bank Group) as an Aviation PPP Specialist in 2005, then Abu Dhabi Airports Company as its first Strategy Director in 2007 to lead the corporatization and certification of its three airports before joining, in 2008, TAV Airports Holding as its Chief Strategy Officer.  In 2015, he joined Saudi Oger, where he led its facilities management division, before recently joining KPI as Director, Strategy and Privatization.

Waleed’s experience includes the acquisition/buy efforts of JFK Terminal 4, Brisbane, Bangalore, Madinah, Muscat, JFK and Newark Airports, Managua and Lima, and the structuring/sale efforts of the Jeddah Hajj Terminal, Amman, Abuja, Howard Air Force Base and Antananarivo.
Waleed is a former board member of ACI Asia Pacific and past Chairman of the Economics Committee of ACI World, and holds Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, with emphasis on airport design, economics and finance.
